The Role
To lead the Plant Logistics, Stores, and Resource Management teams, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant coordination of plant assets, materials, inventory, and operational resources. The role is responsible for providing effective people leadership, driving continuous improvement, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance, and ensuring our sites have the right equipment, in the right place, at the right time, supporting our operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
Operational Management
Lead the Plant Logistics, Stores, and Resource Management functions, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective service delivery.
Coordinate the availability, movement, and utilisation of plant assets, materials, and operational resources to meet site requirements.
Safe Systems of Work (HomeSafe)
Promote and maintain a strong culture of safe systems of work, ensuring risks are identified, controlled, and reviewed.
Act as a visible safety leader, reinforcing standards and challenging unsafe practices.
Management of Change (STORM Process)
Ensure operational change is planned, assessed, communicated, and implemented safely.
Provide assurance that change is effectively controlled and does not introduce unmanaged risk.
People & Capability
Lead and develop the Assets & Logistics Coordinator, Stores Supervisor, Plant Department AGM Resource Supervisor, and their teams.
Ensure appropriate capability, competence, and resource levels are in place to support operational delivery.
Asset, Stores & Resource Management
Maintain effective control of plant assets, inventory, logistics, and operational resources.
Drive efficient asset utilisation, inventory accuracy, and resource planning.
Performance & Improvement
Monitor performance against KPIs and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and reliability.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across logistics, stores, and resource management activities.
Compliance & Assurance
Ensure compliance with legal, company, and industry requirements.
Support audits and ensure lessons learned and improvement actions are implemented.
Collaboration
Work closely with operational, project, procurement, and support teams to align resources and logistics with business needs.
Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams.
Leadership & Culture
Lead by example, promoting Plant Department values, expected behaviours, and a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Transformation
Champion standardisation, digitalisation, and data-led decision-making to improve operational performance and support future business growth.
What We’re Looking For
Operational knowledge of driving resources, logistical and stores-based activities.
Proven experience leading operational teams.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
Ability to identify and deliver operational improvements.
